Recently, World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) of United Nations finished the special investigation on Nantong Textile City, and will release "Report on Copyright Protection of Nantong Textile" to the world in the first quarter of this year. This is the first time for special research of WIPO in a country's specific regions and industries, aiming at summing up the experiences and practices of intellectual property, and introducing and popularizing them to developing countries.

In recent years, Nantong Textile City actively uses intellectual property strategy to promote the prosperity and development of textile industry. Nantong Textile City continuously strengthens construction of intellectual property management institutions, and established Chuanjiang Town IP Management Office in Tongzhou District. Nantong Textile City set up a permanent trading market, regularly held textile drawings trade fairs, and realized the entire process of service from creation to transfer of related IPRs including textile pattern, color design, fabric production, dyeing and finished products manufacturing.

Textile Chamber of Commerce has also constituted the industry's intellectual property strategy, built industrial patent database, and promoted the standardization of intellectual property management in the textile leading enterprises.
