| Vice Governor of Shanxi proposes new requirements for IP work |

| On February 20, Vice Governor of Shanxi Provincial People's Government Zhang Ping sent a congratulatory letter to provincial IP working conference. In his letter, Zhang Ping gave full approval of local IP work in 2008.
Last year, Shanxi has witnessed an obvious increase of IP creation capacity of the whole province, and achievements in enterprises' IP work and independent innovation system establishment work. And Shanxi has carried out patent promotion and intensified IPR protection in 2008.
Besides, Zhang required that, the province should enlarge innovation and the investment and protection of proprietary IPRs, quicken IP service system construction and make great contributions to the development of the whole province. [Chinese version is available on SIPO.gov.cn]
