| On May 18th, Shanxi Science and Technology Department said that 45 Technological innovation projects in Shanxi province had been carried out with an estimated investment of 1.25 billion yuan. After being finished, these projects will gain more annual product of 8.3 billion yuan, bring more annual tax of 1.74 billion yuan, and make profits of 56.52 million yuan.
In 2007, Shanxi province decided to develop science and technology innovation, which aimed to enhance enterprises’ ability of dependent innovation and to make out the brand of Shanxi province. After efforts, great achievements have been made.
The first batches of projects are under process, most of which have made profits. The 16 projects authorized in 2007 with the cost of 92.45 million yuan have gained more annual product of 930 million and annual tax of 210 million yuan. Two patents have been authorized in 34 applied for. The 19 projects authorized in 2008 with the cost of 360 million yuan will gain more annual product of 1.28 billion and annual tax of 280 million yuan.
